Welcome to our little space in 'cyberland.' This is our 'spot' on the net where we will share our Art, stories, photo's and cultural differences which relate to life here and wherever we may end up. Currently we are living in a small town by the name of HWASUN (pop.20 000) in the rural district of Chonnam, located in the south west of South Korea.
How did we end up here??? Well that's another story which will be addressed at a later date, BUT it sure is VERY different from where we grew up on Australia's 'Gold Coast' which is regarded as one of the premier surf, beach and sun holiday destination's in the World. As they say in the classics......"A change is as good as a holiday;" so here we are. Enjoy...

Simonn is of Dutch origin, born in Australia and Educated in both The Netherlands and Australia. She is a full time Artist (painter) and very successful. She is represented by Art Galleries throughout Australia and her work is in high demand. On 7th of March 2003 she gave birth to her first child, a healthy boy at Hwasun 'Peace' Hospital, Oscar William Gray. Her second healthy boy, Adam Martinus Gray was born at Alamanda Private Hospital, Gold Coast on the 25th of November, 2006.

Scott has two degrees in Art Education and is also a practising Artist. He was born in the town of Rabaul, P.N.G. and the family moved to The Gold Coast, Australia in June 1974. He has taught High School Art in Australia for 13 years and the past 2 years have been spent teaching K-7 English, ESL and Art in South Korea.
